Fallon Aviation Proudly Presents Kuma - Ambassadog for Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB)

Fallon Aviation (well, actually our dog) has been making headlines. Kuma is the first dog in the country to be named “Ambassadog” for our local Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB).

Kuma has been involved in aviation her whole life. She currently works at Fallon Aviation greeting customers who visit our pilot shop and she lends a helping paw with aircraft maintenance for Melbourne Flight Training. One of her favorite pastimes is to gaze out the windows of our Cessna 172 as we fly over the scenic Space Coast.

Kuma completed an eight-week training course by OffLeash K9 to prepare her for Therapy Dog Certification. After putting in long hours of airport-specific training she successfully completed the course and received her Therapy Dog Certification.

Orlando Melbourne International Airport commemorated Kuma’s certification with a ceremony in the airport’s terminal on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Kuma was awarded with a certificate, an airport security badge with her paw print on it, and a giant jar of peanut butter. The ceremony concluded with Kuma’s first official Ambassadog duty of sending off Delta Air Lines' passengers and a paw/handshake with their Captain.
